AARON'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 15

Cam Akers- Los Angeles Rams RB

I would like to start off by congratulating everyone that is still in the playoff race and striving for championships. For those that have been eliminated, your time isn’t up yet. Still stay active in your leagues and pay attention to how players perform as a way to start some way too early prep for the 2021 season.

I'm gonna keep it simple for everyone with this selection. Cam Akers has been RB 14, 12 and 8 the last 3 weeks, and his upcoming schedule for the fantasy playoffs are the Jets in Week 15 and the Seahawks in Week 16. He has looked outstanding, and has been getting the majority of the snaps and carries over the last 3 weeks. He has accrued over half of his rushing attempts over the last 3 weeks and has clearly earned the job as the lead back in the Rams offense. Now, he is rostered in 66.1% of ESPN leagues and there is no reason that total should be in the high 90s. He is worth all the FAB, the #1 waiver priority or whatever other option your league may use to acquire.

* Originally I had another player who was less owned on the waiver wire, but only a few hours after writing that article, said player was put on the Covid Reserve list, hence a pick with such a high roster percentage. Akers is still a great pick if you can get him, though.
