IAN'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 13
Devontae Booker-Las Vegas Raiders RB
December is officially cuffing season, and Booker is the perfect match this week. Josh Jacobs is dealing with an ankle sprain which should not sideline him for this week. However, they are facing the Jets, so it is very possible that the Raiders get ahead big and leave more duties to Booker in order to give Jacobs some rest. Even with Jacobs likely to go, he is not 100% healthy, so it is very possible for him to re-aggravate said injury. If you have Jacobs in your lineup currently then Booker is the smartest waiver wire add you can make this week. If Jacobs does go down then Booker immediately steps in as the main RB in town, and if Jacobs doesn’t go down and is healthy the rest of the way then you have the security and peace of mind knowing you didn’t let any other manager in your league swoop in and get him. Especially with how this season has been going, from COVID to injuries, the handcuff running back has become a necessity. We never know what may happen, so go out and get some insurance for your team. At only 5.3% owned in ESPN leagues, he is readily available.
