I know the Colts are an elite defense and that is scary, but can you name any other wide out on the Texans team? Randall Cobb is on IR, Kenny Stills is a free agent, and Will Fuller got suspended for the rest of the season. Keke Coutee is the new number 2 WR after starting the season 4th on the depth chart, and Brandin cooks is the number one option by default. Cooks has been putting up a solid season so far as he is on pace for over 1,000 yards, but his TD pace has been lacking thus far. With the lack of competitors to catch passes, this is when he can take a steep rise in touchdowns over the remaining part of the season. The top 3 pass catchers in Houston are now Jordan Akins, Keke Coutee and Brandin Cooks, and my money is going on Cooks to take the next step and truly elevate his game. It will not be an easy road coming up for him based on matchups, but due to circumstances out of his control, he is the man who should be seeing the lions share of targets. There is no other team I can truly think of with such a stark difference between the number one and number 2 receiver. Cooks is a start from here on out.
