AARON'S MOST INTRIGUING MATCHUPS

Kansas City Chiefs @ Las Vegas Raiders

This Week 11 matchup pits the AFC West contenders against each other for the 2nd time this year, and like the first one, I think it’ll be a great game. The Week 5 matchup saw a shootout that ended up going the way of the Raiders in a 40-32 victory. Both teams have carved out their identities since they last met with the Raiders adapting a ground and pound approach while the Chiefs have stuck to the air raid as the league’s best passing offense. While it may not seem like it, the Raiders have the ability to gain the upper hand in the division with a victory. They would move to 7-3 with a division record of 4-0, while the Chiefs would be 8-2 with a 2-2 division record. Yes, the Raiders would still have to finish with a better record than the Chiefs to win the division, but this would put them on the inside track to do so. As far as the importance of Week 11 games can go, this one may have the most at stake.

Green Bay Packers @ Indianapolis Colts

While the records of these teams may be separated by only one game in the win-loss column, they couldn’t have a bigger difference in play style. The Colts are a well-balanced offense and outstanding defense while the Packers are the high-flying offense and bend but don’t break defense. The Colts receive equal production from all 3 phases of the game and the Packers are a pass heavy team that cashes in on the talent of Aaron Rodgers’ arm. I'm looking forward to seeing the Colts defense being tested by one of the leagues’ best offenses and how they respond. This will be the best QB the Colts have faced this year and will be the first true test of what they may see in the playoffs. As for the Packers, it’s another trial for the offense against an elite defense. The last time they played one, it was the Buccaneers, and I think we remember how that went for them. It’s an opportunity for both teams to show what they are made of and prove that they can perform well against good teams.
