DFS VALUE PICKS
We use FanDuel prices and they give us a salary of $60,000 for 9 total spots. Every pick I choose, except quarterback, will fall under $6700. I make this list because these are people who I believe will give you the most back for your buck. I don’t think these are the only players you should have, but they will be good to round out your roster after selecting the more expensive stars. Players like Dalvin Cook are going to be selected at a high percentage and should probably be looked passed because of it. It’s hard to outperform everyone else if you’re making the same picks as everyone else.
QB - Jared Goff $7400 (LAR vs. SEA)
Russel “Filet” Wilson $8900
Stack option: Robert Woods $7200 Cooper Kupp is also a good option but he has been injured to start the week off, and with how bad the Seahawks are, Woods is likely to eat.
We have been talking about Jared Goff this whole week and how truly bad the Seahawks passing defense is. I shouldn’t have to go into any more depth on it.
RB - Duke Johnson $5800 (HOU vs. CLE)
CMC $9700
More expensive option: James Robinson $7300, He goes against the 31st ranked defense against opposing RB’s in Green Bay and he has been the best fantasy rookie this whole season producing week in and week out.
Duke Johnson saw 81% of the offensive snaps once David Johnson left with an injury. Duke also saw 91% of the RB attempts on the ground. Those numbers are equivalent to someone like Derrick Henry. Duke is not the talent that Henry is, but by pure volume alone he is a worthy start. If a running back is going to score for the Texans this week it is likely going to be him.
WR - Curtis Samuel $5700 (CAR vs. TB)
Devante Adams $9500
More expensive option: Robert Woods $7200 not too bad over the average for someone going against Seattle.
With CMC officially sidelined this week, I anticipate the Panthers to go back to their strategy they had the past couple weeks with Samuel getting a surprising amount of rushing opportunities. As of late, the Panthers have been using Samuel heavily, and his fantasy points have been reflecting that. This is a good price to swoop him up and get a steal.
TE - GRONK SPIKE $6100 (TB vs. CAR)
Darren Waller $7000
More Expensive option: Darren Waller $7000? If it’s not Kelce, it's not worth spending extra money on TE’s. It's a toss up every week for the whole position.
Besides the blowout against the Saints, Gronk was doing his best Stella impersonation. With is groove back, Gronk had 3 weeks in a row above 12 points on FanDuel. In this year's TE options, above 10 points is a week to week starter. The most important aspect however for this game will be Tom Brady who suffered his most lopsided loss in his career last week, and I guarantee will be playing angry. I would be surprised if we didn’t see a Gronk Spike this week.
Flex - Christian Kirk WR $6300 (ARI vs. BUF)
CMC $9700
More expensive option: Travis Fulgham $6800, The man is facing the 26th ranked passing defense and is by far Carson Wentz's favorite target this season.
Kirk has caught 5 TD’s in the past 3 weeks. Every time Kyler wants to throw the ball downfield it is to Kirk. This man is definitely on the rise and it’s time to jump on the bandwagon now before it gets too crowded. Kirk seems to have a way of throwing in at least one big play every game and if he can maintain that sort of consistency, then he will be a perfect DFS option from here on out.
Def - Philadelphia Eagles vs. NYG $4600
Steelers $5000
More expensive option: Steelers $5000 The Bengals offensive line is playing like they hate Joe Burrow and the Steelers have the best pass rush in the league. Burrow might die this week.
Philly is 3rd in the league in sacks, 3rd in fumbles recovered, and has 2 defensive touchdowns this season. The Giants offense is a joke this year with Daniel Jones not panning out like many experts thought he would. Last time these teams played it was to be blunt, a shitshow, but like TE’s, fantasy defenses are hard to predict. I like this matchup.
