AARON'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 8

Richard Rodgers- Philadelphia Eagles TE

I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but the waiver wire options are absolutely thin. Any player that you are picking up off of waivers are purely as bye week fill ins or in the case of injury replacements, temporary options. Richard Rodgers is the latter of those two options. With Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert both out with injuries, Rogers saw 8 targets for 6 receptions and 85 yards which was good for TE #6 on the week. He has the potential of a top-10 TE due to the injuries on the Eagles and the propensity for Carson Wentz to utilize the TE in that offense. The tight end position outside of a select few is a barren wasteland of dart throws and long shots. Rogers is someone that can be used as a streamer and nothing more at least until the return of either Ertz or Goedert. He’s currently rostered in 6.5% OF ESPN leagues so the odds are in your favor.
