AARON'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 7

I will start off this article by offering this statement: waivers have been and will continue to be awful. There have been very few waiver wire adds that have actually given you value. I believe that this trend will continue during this unprecedented year. With that being said, my waiver wire target this week is Anthony Firkser.

Now, this add is more speculative and precautionary in the event that Jonnu Smith misses Week 7 due to an ankle injury. Smith left the last game against the Texans and Firkser stepped in and produced, tallying 8 catches on 9 targets for 113 yards and 1 TD, also placing him as the #1 scoring TE on the week. You obviously don’t expect those numbers moving forward, but the tight end has been a big part of the Titans offense on the year with Jonnu Smith producing 5 TDs as the #4 TE on the year. This is definitely a risky add due to the uncertainty of Smith’s health status and how it will progress throughout the week, but it's certainly worth the chance if you have roster spots available.
