TERRY MCLAURIN - WR WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM

Sit Him

Coming off a dismal and frankly embarrassing performance in week three, the Baltimore Ravens defense has about as much to prove as Miles Teller in Whiplash. They weren’t sure if they were dragging or rushing against an incredibly stout Chiefs offense that stomped a mud-hole in them this past Monday night. However, I believe that was a bit of an anomaly given that they had a top two defense in the first two weeks of the season allowing a total of 22 points, six sacks and 3 fumble recoveries. I expect them to rebound in a big way, and if they were Bruce Banner in week three, expect the Hulk to come out against the Washington Football team. That is a big reason why Terry McLaurin is my sit ‘em for this week.

Besides going against a frightening force in the Baltimore Ravens defense, the Washington Football team has looked shaky on offense during the season so far. Although McLaurin has done pretty well this season, my big problem with playing him is his quarterback. Dwayne Haskins Jr. hasn’t performed well enough to make McLaurin a must start every week, and this is a week where he shouldn’t be started. Despite having decent receptions and good yardage through the first three weeks, McLaurin has only gotten in the endzone once this season. When going against a competent defense in the Browns, Haskins threw three interception and was sacked three times, stymieing the offense. I can only imagine how bad it will get against a supreme defense like the Ravens.

McLaurin is a good player and the clear number one on that offense but given the major barricades of the Ravens defense and Haskins shaky play, I suggest not playing McLaurin this week. His upside is too low to make him a viable option this week and I can only expect him to get a few points at best.
