MOST INTRIGUING MATCHUP- WEEK 9
Minnesota Vikings @ Baltimore Ravens
There are quite a few great matchups this week as we start to finally sort out who teams actually are. The Ravens are coming off a bye and look to pad their lead in the AFC North as the Vikings come to town, looking to bounce back after a missed opportunity Sunday night. Lamar Jackson is the most consistent fantasy option for the Ravens and truly the only player you can count on to produce on the ground. Between Latavius Murray, Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, there isn’t a clear #1 option, which leaves Lamar as the go to guy. Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews are the only two pass catching options that are worth starting in standard sized leagues. Rashod Bateman has potential flex status, but I need to see more game time under the rookie’s belt before I feel comfortable throwing him into my lineups. Now, for the Vikings, they are quite possibly the most “play to the level of their competition” team in the NFL. All but one of their eight games have been one score finishes, which include games against the Bengals, Cardinals and Lions. They step up against great opponents and stoop down to the floor for poor opponents. I expect the Vikings to step up this week and make this a closer game than it should be. Kirk Cousins has produced as a fantasy relevant quarterback and has done enough to sustain two great fantasy receivers in Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Dalvin Cook is one of the most dominant running backs when healthy, and he looks like he’s finally getting back to full strength. This is my pick for the highest scoring game of the week and is my favorite matchup of the week.
