KEONI'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 16

Chad Hansen- WR Houston Texans

We have finally made it ladies and gentlemen! It is the final week of the fantasy football season, and you are potentially in the finals of your league. For those of you who unfortunately didn’t make it this far, just blame it on 2020. For those of you who have been with us for a while and even those who may have just discovered us yesterday, we thank you for hopefully being a part of your decision-making process in terms of your fantasy lineups and choices. We really are here to help give you the best chance possible to win your league while also providing some entertainment at the same time. Now that the sentimentality is out of the way, you are here to get that last week waiver wire option insight. Hopefully you’re not in such a desperate situation where you need to pick someone up this late, but weird stuff happens in 2020. This week’s waiver wire guy is not as fire as some of the other options have been throughout the year, but if you’re in need of help, this guy can potentially give you a decent boost this week.

My waiver wire pick for this week is the Houston Texans wide receiver, Chad Hansen. I know he is not one of those standout picks like a Jalen Hurts or Tony Pollard, but I’m not going to discuss them because they are owned in too many leagues, in my opinion. I’m trying to do the hard work of finding a low percentage pick with the most value, so you don’t have to stress about that. It is just another one of the many services provided by the Fantasy Daydreamers. As a side note though, if you can get them in your leagues this week do that because they are great pickups.

Moving back to Hansen, he has emerged in the past few games as a pretty decent flex option and is wide receiver three on that team even though he has been targeted like the number one. Prior to this past week where David Johnson was treated more like Diontae Johnson with how many receptions he had, Hansen has had the most targets of any of the Texan’s players. He has only played a total of three games this season, but in his first two game he played, he had seven targets each which is by far the most out of that span. Deshaun Watson seems to be trying to get him the ball, and in his first game playing this season, Hansen had over 100 yards. Unlike Keke Coutee and Watson, he has also not yet fumbled the ball in the redzone to lose the game.

The Texans are going against the Cincinnati Bengals who were like Lil Jon in the respect that they played “out of their minds” this past week vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals looked really good, but the Steelers also looked really bad. I think at least the offense in Houston is playing well and can put up decent numbers vs the Bengals who hopefully go back to what their record would lead you to believe. There is also a potential that Cincinnati makes this a game, so Watson has to throw the ball a lot. Hansen is owned in just over 5% of leagues, so if you need that wide receiver flex, he is certainly out there. He can potentially put your team over the edge and give you just enough to win because even a one point win is a win.
