AARON'S WAIVER WIRE PICKUP - WEEK 16

Baker Mayfield- Cleveland Browns QB

First off, congratulations to those of you who are playing for fantasy glory and championships this week. Hopefully you have made it this far relatively healthy and don’t find yourself in a dire situation scrambling to replace key starters. If you are in one of these situations, don’t panic. There are options available and tilting will not help you think clearly and make good decisions. This is not the time to doubt yourself as you clearly have made enough good choices to put yourself in this position. Good luck to everyone!

Now for the business end of things, Baker Mayfield is the clear and obvious choice as my waiver wire add this week. Baker and the Browns match up against the Jets, and Baker has looked awesome over his last 4 games. He has finished as the QB 12, 3, 2 and 12 in those games and again, he plays the Jets. I know the Jets beating the Rams was a cute and surprising story, but they are the 3rd best matchup for opposing fantasy QBs on the season. Now, I know that most people are not going to be looking at streaming QB in their championship game, but it may even be worth a preventative add to block your opponent from adding him. Look at who your opponent has on their roster and make a decision based on that. Clearly not enough of you listened to Keoni last week because Baker is still rostered in only 35.1% of ESPN leagues.
