Matthew Stafford hasn’t had the best start to his 2020 season. He was missing his best wide receiver for the first 2 games which didn’t help him any, but in the two games since Kenny Golladay came back, Stafford has passed for 476 yards and 5 TDs total. He has an extremely favorable matchup against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that is bottom 5 in total passing and rushing yards allowed, while also being a bottom 10 team in points per game. The Detroit defense hasn’t been anything to write home about either which leads me to believe that this will not be a defensive showdown. If there is one thing that we know about Stafford, it’s that he has no problem airing the ball out downfield. With 4 fantasy relevant QBs on bye this week, the door is open for Matthew Stafford to land himself as a top 5 player this week. All of the favorable factors are pointing in Stafford’s direction, and I believe he cashes in allowing fantasy managers to reap the rewards.
