KIRK COUSINS - QB MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Start Him

I know things haven’t looked great for the Minnesota Vikings as a whole, but the offense hasn’t been the problem. They have scored over 30 points in every game besides Week 2 against the Colts, who look like the league’s best defense. Dalvin Cook has shown over the last 2 weeks why he is one of the best running backs in the NFL, and with the emergence of rookie Justin Jefferson as a key contributor, the offense as a whole appears to be clicking. There is no better way to keep the offense rolling than to have a game against a Seahawks team who have allowed the most passing yards in the league. Opposing QBs have turned their matchups against the Seahawks in fantasy finishes of 8th, 2nd, 4th and 12th. If you combined the fantasy points of the 4 QBs the Seahawks have faced, they would be the QB #4 on the year. Kirk Cousins has had his struggles this year, especially when you take into account his negative fantasy points performance against the Colts. However, if you remove that performance and replace it with an average of his other 3 games, he would be QB #12 on the year. I know that’s a little bit of loosie goosey math, but sometimes we have to be aware of outlier performances. Both the Seahawks and Vikings defenses have struggled this year, and I see that trend continuing leading to a great fantasy day for Kirk Cousins and a top 8 QB performance for the week.
