CEEDEE LAMB - WR DALLAS COWBOYS

Start Him

The Dallas Cowboys came into the 2020 season with high expectations and quite frankly deserve to be 0-2 if it weren’t for the ineptitude that is the Atlanta Falcons franchise. Despite the sloppy play, CeeDee Lamb has looked really good early in his rookie campaign. He is the team’s 2nd leading receiver in every category only trailing Amari Cooper and all of this with an 82% snap count, which trails both Copper and Michael Gallup. Despite not yet getting into the endzone, Lamb is the WR 25 on the year. He's done all of this while learning the offense and getting adjusted to the speed of an NFL game, so you can say I’m thoroughly surprised. With all this being said, I believe that Week 3 will see CeeDee Lamb land inside the top-15 of wide receivers.

The first thing I always look to when setting my lineup for my FLEX position is the matchup. The Cowboys will face off against the Seattle Seahawks, who have allowed the most passing yards through 2 weeks, and the Cowboys enter as the 3rd most pass heavy team. I see these trends continuing with better passing endzone success for Dak Prescott who has 2 passing TDs on the year. The Seahawks have already allowed four 100-yard receivers so far, and I think that Lamb will benefit greatly from this. Most of the defense's attention should be focused not only on Amari Cooper, but Ezekiel Elliot as well. The ability to have a balanced attack has benefitted the Cowboys, and I see the rookie Lamb as the benefactor due to the plethora of weapons. Lamb has shown that he is worthy of the 1st round price tag the Cowboys paid for him, and he looks to continue it on Sunday.
